Your online demo does not work

And the CSV 2 Post free is too limited, because you cannot choose the delimiter. A waste of my time.

Sorry to hear you are having difficulty using CSV 2 POST. I simply don’t have time to update the demo and free edition very often as I focus on the paid edition which I’m sure you understand. I will however give it some attention very soon once finished making the most recent upgrades to the Pro plugin.

The online demo can often be effected by multiple users and the changes they make but I’ll still look into it as I think it needs updating anyway. I’m currently designing a new plugin to replace CSV 2 POST so most time is going on that right now. Buyers of CSV2POST will get the new on without further cost and the new one is even better.

Could I see a sample of your CSV file please? Also are you a MAC user? Most cases that message will indicate the file is not a .csv file or the format is wrong. MAC can cause format issues sometimes. I’ll know more on testing your file. Also should you buy I always issue a refund when there are definitive bugs that cannot be fixed quickly.

I don’t know if i have seen a website selling something that is set up more pisspoorly. the links don’t go where they say and it is confusing for such a small site….the other half are broken… anyway thanks for overpricing your product good luck

Sorry about all that, my first project on leaving University and really a big lesson plus prototype product. The real product is being developed right now and will be released soon. The new CSV import plugin will also come with a new far better website but the plugin itself will be the best available and at a higher price than CSV 2 POST.

The price sells with most customers offering to pay higher because of what it does, how well and the level of support I give. My time is paid for basically and I give it, hence why I’m developing a replacement plugin and giving it free to customers of CSV 2 POST. The developer license ofcourse sells for a lot more. If you feel the price is too high I suggest you might want to look for a more basic plugin.

Just trying to test out the free version for now with a couple of posts but it won’t let me do a ‘full’ import only staggered or schedule so I can’t see the results?

Also – I haven’t found a simple comparision of the features of free, pro and plus – can you point me in the right direction? I am looking at this for a large number of sites so this would be very helpful

I’m also currently developing a new even better csv importer plugin called Easy CSV Importer. Hoping to release it this month. Buyers of CSV 2 POST Pro will get that plugin free. Let me know if you would like to know more or wish to invest in my solutions.

My refund policy which is also stated on my main website states that if there is a fault which can be proven i.e. screenshot then I’ll provide a full refund but only after 48 hours of allowing myself to repair the problem. Basically the time is spent establishing if its possible something the user is doing, a rare conflict or a genuine bug that may not be fixed in good time. I downloaded your free version, and was dissapointed that it does not actually create any posts.
I would have thought you could limit it to say just one post at least so we can see exactly how it works considering the online demo does not work either.

I’m not prepared to pay such a lot of money for something which i have been able to test properly, which is a shame as I think this plugin would be ideal for me.

You must be losing potential sales here when people try it and then they think that it just does not work.
You really need to work out a better trial, at least something that works even if it’s limited by time or number of posts.

I do understand however the software that would encode my plugin to allow a license system is very expensive, around £600, same in Euros and in dollars thats maybe around $900. Not an option for me at this time. There are no alternatives that would stop someone easily hacking it. Basically if I coded it to stop the plugin working to it’s full potential someone can remove that stoppage just as easily. I will at some point be improving the online demos for CSV 2 POST but right now I’m working on Easy CSV Importer which is even far more advanced, that will hopefully one day get encoded for free release like you have requested. Then I’ll do the same with CSV 2 POST.

I understand this is some sort of undergrad project for you, but this is also real life. If you do not provide enough for us to make a decision on, we are easily going to turn to someone else. Very confusing…

1. how do I try out CVS2Post? The download links do not work.
2. how can we determine if C2P is right for us if we cannot try out and see the results, i.e., feeds to posts?
3.. what is the price of the pro version?

Hey, CSV 2 POST as its known now is about to get scrubbed. I developed a new importer called Easy CSV Importer. I’m spending another 2 weeks development on that plugin, it already has 7 working test blogs like http://www.importcsv.eu. All my attention is on ECI right now, that plugin will be £99.99 soon but for another week I’m selling it for £49.99, same as CSV 2 POST simply because it is so new. I do understand what you are saying but I done all this coming out of Uni and it was my first real project, first Wordpress plugin etc.

Anyway I hope that helps. Bottom line is I’m still working on the goal of providing the best import plugin solutions. Later CSV 2 POST will be replaced with a plugin thats more suited to certain users with specific needs where Easy CSV Importer just has endless functions for everyones needs.

Oh and there is no longer a Pro etc, just CSV 2 POST now as I realised it was confusing and more work providing different versions. Soon I’ll be able to provide different licenses instead. 6 month use, 12 month, unlimited that sort of thing.
